The hotel Playa Santa Ponsa is a 2-star hotel with facilities and services at the level of a 4-star hotel. It finished the renovation process back in 2002 and has gone back in business thanks to the use of facilities from its sister hotels. The hotel has been around in Majorca, Spain for a long time and has never failed to offer its services and accommodation to tourists, families, and vacationers from all over the world. It is known to be a short cab ride from the famous and lively Palma where you can stop by, browse around the local markets and shops, and buy souvenirs and other local bargains during your stay in Majorca, Spain.

The Playa Santa Ponsa hotel consists of almost 210 rooms, with 171 double rooms and 38 single rooms, and you as the guest can choose whether to stay in a smoking or a non-smoking room. All the rooms are equipped and complete with a bathroom, a small refrigerator, a sun terrace, heating system, safety deposit box for your belongings, direct dial telephone and a ceiling fan for ventilation. The safety deposit box and the small refrigerator are charged for small fees so if you wish to use them, feel free to contact the receptionist anytime during your stay at Playa Santa Ponsa. Other facilities with extra charges include vintage wine, massage, scuba diving lessons, the sauna, billiards, Internet and PlayStation.

The hotel hopes to promote interaction and fun among its hotel guests by making sure that all facilities are maintained in good condition. Hotel guests and families can dine, play, and relax together in the pizzeria/restaurant, the sports facilities, and the health spas and saunas. Hotel guests can have their meals at the Playa Santa Ponsa restaurant where they can eat all they can at the hot and cold buffets or order meals from the varied menus available for them. There are outdoor snacks as well that sells snacks and treats all day while you can have drinks and cocktails at the main hotel bar. What is interesting is that during the winter months, the hotel serves breakfast only in bed and room service is available anytime.

Tourists and hotel guests can still keep in shape by making use of the hotel’s sports facilities. There are two swimming pools for adults and children, bicycles, pedal boats, a grass tennis court, volleyball court, French bowls, table tennis, billiards, archery, gymnasts, and even water polo. There are also eight clay tennis courts, two golf courses, and water sports such as diving, jet skiing, etc. The children will also be accommodated and entertained by the hotel’s Cabana club, which is a hobby club for kids from five to twelve years of age. They will be taught how to make handicrafts, play games with the other kids, and even play in their own junior climbing wall, an artificial grass court, a children’s swimming pool, etc. In the evenings, children and their parents can get together and spend quality time with each other playing games or watching movies at the hotel’s satellite TV lounge.
